InDesign Keyboard ShortcutsRemember, whenever you use a keyboard command in conjunction with your mouse the keyboard command is an option you are turning ON or OFF. Always complete the action with your mouse before releasing your keyboard command. |

| CTRL+SPACEBAR | - Access Zoom Tool. Add the ALT key for Zoom out. |
| ALT+SPACEBAR | - Access Hand Tool. |
| CTRL + 0 | - Fit page to window. |
| CTRL + ALT + 0 | - Fit spread to window. |
| CTRL + 1 | - Show document at actual size. |
| TAB | - Show/Hide the Toolbar and all the Palettes. |
| SHIFT+TAB | - Show/Hide only the Palettes. |
| CTRL+ALT+TAB | - Slide open/close Side Palettes. |
| W | - Switch between design view & preview mode. |
| ALT+PAGE UP/DOWN | - Center full page spread when changing pages. |
| SHIFT+PAGE UP/DOWN | - Center single page when changing pages. |
| CTRL+Y | - Toggles between Layout View windows & Story Editor window. |
| CTRL+SHIFT+Left Mouse Click | - Overrides master page settings and makes object local to document page. |
| CTRL+ALT+7 (CTRL+5) | - Toggles between character and paragraph formatting controls. |
| CTRL+6 | - Toggles cursor focus between Control palette and document window. |

| CTRL+H | - Show/Hide Frames. |

| CTRL+ENTER | - Opens Quick Apply for style formatting. |
| ALT + Left Mouse Click | - Removes local formatting, resets selection to match style settings. |
| ALT+V | - A.J.'s special. Add as a 2nd shortcut for Selection Tool. |
| CTRL+, | - Decrease size / scale by 1%. |
| CTRL+. | - Increase size / scale by 1%. |
| CTRL+ALT+, | - Decrease size / scale by 5%. |
| CTRL+ALT+. | - Increase size / scale by 5%. |
| CTRL+SHIFT+, | - Decrease point size. |
| CTRL+SHIFT+. | - Increase point size. |
| ALT+Up Arrow | - Decrease leading values (paragraph must be hightlighted). |
| ALT+Down Arrow | - Increase leading values (paragraph must be highlighted). |
| CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+' | - Toggle Between Straight Quotes and Typographer’s Quotes. |
